Statement from 91福利 Chair Lyndel Manson on NAU ranking No. 8 in the nation for free speech, open inquiry

"Congratulations to Northern 91福利 University for ranking No. 8 in the nation for free speech and open inquiry. Ranked by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), this impressive achievement showcases NAU鈥檚 open environment for free speech. This ranking reflects the university鈥檚 commitment to freedom of expression with notable high marks for its tolerance of conservative speakers and not shouting down or otherwise preventing speakers from expressing their views on campus. In addition, 91福利 State University and the University of 91福利 also have 鈥済reen鈥 FIRE ratings 鈥 the highest FIRE rating 鈥 recognizing the commitment of the universities to free speech."
